    Do Anything, Not Everything

You needn't be good at everything. Just be good at anything! Like an athlete with Olympic potential, any brain can truly astonish us. But choosing one goal helps, instead of trying to win gold medals in every sport at once.

    Lively. Simple. Brightening.

Meg loves the focus advantage of a gentle dopamine boost. Expect cringeless creative prompts, a decent chance of genuine laughter, and fun mini-quests away from the desk. When needed, she’ll bring the room back to zen with a no-nonsense meditation.

    First column media

Meg spent a few lively decades in the performing arts...

...before jumping offstage into a full-time writing career.

An award-winning playwright, opera librettist, video game story writer, GRAMMY-nominated lyricist, regional journalist, million-pageview blogger, and fiction author in multiple genres under super-secret pseudonyms, Meg loves writing like some people love kittens.

Between bouts of blissfully pushing her pencil in the depths of flow state, she coaches folks on how to make their own creative work come easier and hit harder.

    What brings you to FLOWN?

I first discovered FLOWN as a member and quickly found myself doing more of what mattered and less of what didn't. I even achieved a personal deep work record: I did 24 hour-long work sprints (in a row) to write 24,000 words in one day.

Knowing FLOWN's impact firsthand, joining the team was an instant "yes” for me.

    What keeps you motivated?

COMMUNITY is everything. I love to feel that we're in it together.

CHALLENGE. I approach creative work with an athlete's ambitious mindset: push hard, recover, repeat.

BRIBERY. Sometimes I’ll work for a stroopwafel.

    What makes you happy?

Dancing. Any movie or TV show with a werewolf in it. Stationery stores with all the lovely blank notebooks in clean little stacks. Getting my mind blown reading quantum physics.

Where else might we find you?

Watching the sunrise on an early morning jog. Sitting meditation with my LGBTQIA2S+ sangha. Waving "hello" to a cow (because after a lifetime in cities, I recently moved to the country and it's a big new adventure.)
